This award is presented by the largest French association of sporting goods manufacturers under the auspices of the Ministry of Sport as well as the Ministry of Sustainability.
The Ecosport Award in the category "Sustainable Management" acknowledged VAUDE for its sustainable company leadership practices. The jury paid tribute to "the comprehensiveness of its eco-friendly commitment, the sustainable reconstruction of the company headquarters (DGNB certification), the ecological design of the products, the strong involvement of employees in its sustainability process and the annual publication of the company's climate balance. The chairman of the jury, which consisted of journalists, environmental experts and personalities from the world of sports, was the internationally renowned alpinist Catherine Destivelle.
The awards ceremony at the National Institute for Sport, “INSEP”, was also attended by the French Secretary of Sport. Overall, the Ecosport Awards were presented in six categories to companies from the sports branch which have shown a high degree of ecological activism. The evening was hosted by the French sport presenter Denis Brogniart.
